Mrs. Nance
Family picture time!
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to first grade! I am so very excited about the start of yet another wonderful school year! This year is going to be very busy and exciting as we explore, learn and imagine. I hope that you are looking forward to it as much as I am!
I would like to take this time to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Mrs. Katie Nance. This is my twelfth year teaching first grade, but only my second year at Sanford Creek. I have spent the last ten years teaching first grade at Douglas Elementary in Raleigh. Last December, my family and I moved to Rolesville from up the road in Raleigh and we love it here! I love being a part of the Sanford Creek family!
I moved from Michigan to Raleigh in 2006. Most of my family still lives in Michigan, but I am lucky to have my brother’s, sister’s and husband’s family in North Carolina. When (or if) I have free time, I love to travel and have even spent a summer in South Africa. As a family we love to hike, swim, fish, golf, go the gym, read, shop, and watch college sporting events; especially my alma mater, Michigan State University. Go Spartans!!
I look forward to working with and getting to know all of you and your family; all while having a great year in first grade!!
